The CasaBlanca Resort/Casino and Virgin River Hotel/Casino in Mesquite, NV are searching for a successful candidate for Catering/Convention Services Manager. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing the operations of the CasaBlanca and Virgin River Convention Service, Banquet, and Catering departments and is responsible for organizing and coordinating events on behalf of the groups utilizing the banquet facilities and the Event Center. Specific duties include: 1. Works to fully understand all of the clients needs and desires to execute a successful function from the time of assignment through event dates until final payment of account on behalf of the client. 2. Provides accurate and timely event information to the various hotel departments relating to the functions for the client.3. Monitors the logistical details of each event and makes necessary changes at the last minute to ensure the client’s needs are met.4. Work as a liaison between many departments within our organization directing various function details on behalf of the client.5. Demonstrate exceptional customer service in hopes of providing the client with the best overall experience possible.Successful candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:• 2+ years of related experience as a Catering or Food Services Manager (hospitality resort experience a plus). • Excellent Sales skills are required for this position.• Must have working knowledge of Delphi system. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.• This person will be able to handle high stress situations and works well with making last minute changes.• Must have the ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays and extended work days.• Must have excellent communication, time management, and multi tasking skills.• Must be able to travel outside of the local area.Apply in person at 897 W.
