The CasaBlanca Resort/Casino and Virgin River Hotel/Casino in Mesquite, NV are searching for a successful candidate for Banquets Manager. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing all banquet activities, supervises room set-ups, service and clean-up of all banquet functions; including banquet staff. Specific duties include: 1. Set up and oversee all banquet functions. Supervise room set-ups, service, and clean up of all banquet functions.2. Maintain a balance between floor supervision, administration, employee training and mentoring, and hosting/communicating with groups. 3. Coordinate meal and set up requests with appropriate departments. 4. Communicate with Stewards to insure smooth operation. Excellent communications with FO, Catering, and Sales. 5. Be available during all major Banquet functions and supervise numerous banquets at the same time. 6. Maintain banquet equipment, order supplies, linens, uniforms, etc. 7. Travel between properties as well as off property sites. Successful candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in Food & Beverage, preferably sole responsibility for the operations of Banquets/Conventions in a high volume hotel/casino setting. • Must have working knowledge of Delphi system. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.• This person will be able to handle high stress situations and works well with making last minute changes.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is service driven and team focused with the ability to lead the Banquet team to overall success.• Must have the ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays and extended work days.• Must have excellent communication, time management, and multi tasking skills.• Extensive knowledge of food and wines, familiar with all service styles.Apply in person at 897 W.
