The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defense, extensive trial experience, and the ability to manage complex cases. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to legal defense, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.Job Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations in criminal cases.Draw up legal documents about clients' cases.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice post-hearing.Manage court appearances, trials, and all associated documentation.Draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform comprehensive legal research.Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.Manage a diverse caseload effectively.Provide detailed legal analysis to clients, identifying potential benefits and strategies.Gather and accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.Prepare clients for testimony and court appearances.Determine essential goals of case strategies and gather information from witnesses and experts to support clients' positions.Requirements:7-15 years of experience in Criminal Defense.Significant trial experience is highly preferred.Proven experience in handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.A collaborative team player, willing to assist and strategize with fellow associates.Bilingual solid skills (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.Additional certifications in criminal law are a plus.Skills:In-depth knowledge of criminal law and procedure.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.Job Location:Sacramento, CABenefits Offered:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Excellent compensation package.Paid parking.Paid time off.Additional benefits as provided by the firm.
