Community Access Services is seeking a passionate full-time Employment Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Portland Metro Area. Be the driving force in helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) find meaningful, community-based employment. EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES: Empower job seekers to secure community-based employment opportunities with at least minimum wage through personalized strategies and evidence-based practices. Develop comprehensive placement plans and maintain detailed progress reports. Assist job seekers with accessing vocational training, benefits planning, and relevant services. Provide ongoing follow-up support for individuals who have obtained jobs, spanning a 90-day period. Connect job seekers to community resources and benefits. Conduct vocational intakes, develop career plans, cultivate employer relationships, perform job analysis and carvings, and assist with resume/cover letter creation, job coaching, and retention. Establish professional relationships with state and local rehabilitative and developmental disability agencies to enhance the referral process and support program activities. EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in delivering supported employment services OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred certifications in Supported Employment such as EOP II, Highline, VCU, APSE, etc. Successful completion of a level II background check. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving reaching, bending, kneeling, standing, and sitting for extended periods as needed.
