Your Role at Cabot Cabot Corporation is seeking a Global Marketing & Strategy Manager to join the Battery Materials Strategy & Marketing team at the Billerica, MA, Business & Technology Center location - close to Boston, MA. This role conducts and implements global and regional market strategies and marketing programs for Cabot's Battery Materials business, and develops the business's Technology Strategy on a global basis. This is an ideal position for someone whose passion is in battery technology, enjoys demonstrating agility in a fast-paced working environment and is excited to join a high-growth business segment.Additionally, the Global Marketing & Strategy Manager works closely with the R&D teams, as well as global and regional teams and functions to drive medium and long-term growth for the company in alignment with global strategies. This role will report to VP Global Strategy & Marketing, Battery Materials. This individual will join the team at Cabot's Business & Technology hub in Billerica, MA, and is eligible to participate in Cabot's Flexible Working Arrangement (hybrid) program. How You Will Make an Impact Marketing: Conducts market and business analysis in North America first then global, and technology trends analysis on a global basis to help optimize the Battery Materials' global marketing strategy. Provides in-depth marketing knowledge to the global strategic plan including market trends, competitive activity, value selling and new market development. Compiles and analyzes market position information separated by market share segments, competition, functional substitutes, and industry trends. Executes aligned global Battery Materials marketing strategy to maximize profit, variable margin, sales revenue, and market share. Executes new product launches in the North America region. Leads the promotion of targeted products and gets them commercialized with Commercial teams. Identifies regional marketing communications opportunities and coordinates with the global Marketing Communications team; Supports regional events (trade shows, distribution events, etc.) as needed. Leverages opportunities, products, technology trends, and knowledge of workstreams across regions. Strategy: Carries out the technology strategy and evaluates opportunities in the battery value chain together with the Battery Materials commercial team, corporate strategy and scouting team. Stewards the technology pipeline for the business, hosts stage-gate reviews , and aligns the product development priorities to capture new business opportunities. Investigates and assesses new markets/new products/new processes for potential new business development within the Battery Materials business, especially in North America, based on interactions with sales, customers, and other market participants. Builds and executes new market/application development activities. Explores government funding opportunities & investment environments, provides partnership proposals, and leads/develops the business case that can include tolling, partnership, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Identify and develop product ideas from concept to product launching. Others: Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region. What You Will Bring to Cabot Bachelor/University degree in technical or related discipline (batteries or chemistry preferred). Master's degree is preferred. Strong experience with battery technology: deep knowledge about the markets and applications in which our products add value, and demonstrates ability to effectively capture value, to enable execution of strategic goals with passion. 8+ years' of relevant experience (i.e. R&D, technical, marketing, business strategy, etc) Relevant industry experience (i.e. chemical, mining, automotive industry, etc) Ability to accommodate fast-paced work environment and occasional heavy travel schedules. Knowledge of Marketing theories and practices; including marketing plan & strategy generation, market and data analytics, and creation of marketing tools. Ability to identify and analyze what is important and recognize depth of analysis needed. Ability to interpret and synthesize issues in order to draw conclusions. Knowledgeable about functional elements that are important for business profitability. Able to 'talk business' at high levels. Ability to engage with the organization in a manner that is timely, relevant and appropriate to the environment. Ability to use knowledge of Cabot's capabilities to seek out and identify opportunities where Cabot can provide solutions to customers' needs. Ability to work in close alignment with people from other functions and influence/engage others to address issues, resolve conflicts. Ability to take ownership for ensuring desired outcome of project and establish and monitor milestones towards objectives. Ability to determine what needs to be done to move the business forward and stay on track towards the realization of the vision.
