Our Global Operations Team - all business professionals of the firm - was named the "Best Business Team" by The American Lawyer .As an Editor in Goodwin's Marketing and Communications Department, you will play a critical role in the ongoing evolution of the firm's content marketing programs. You will work with colleagues around the world to develop distinctive editorial products that help to build business and elevate our brand by creating engaging experiences that have real impact for clients and our firm. What You Will Do: You will work with Goodwin authors - typically lawyers - and client development teams to write and edit content in a range of formats for a variety of channels, including web copy, marketing collateral, short- and long-form articles, and video scripts.Content areas include but are not limited to specific industries (e.g., financial services, life sciences, private equity, real estate, and technology), practices (e.g., litigation, transactions, and regulation), and issues that are core to our values and culture (e.g., DEI, pro bono, and alumni relations).Your responsibilities will range from optimizing headlines, deks, teasers, and leads to shaping raw materials (e.g., an outline or transcript) into polished pieces.You will collaborate across the marketing group and firm to ensure projects are completed, approved, produced, and published on deadline. And you should be motivated to help the group succeed, willing to take on tasks or roles as needed to support editorial operations and distribution (e.g., managing processes, assessing impact, and developing/executing approaches for promoting content across channels). Who You Are: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.4+ years of experience in business writing and editing, including digital publishing, preferably for an English-language business publication or a professional services firm.Strong editorial judgment; ability to rapidly absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible copy for global audiencesSolid understanding of marketing trends and general business conceptsExcellent communication and people skillsAbility to tactfully engage with senior staff and subject-matter experts and collaborate with marketing colleaguesWillingness to be edited and to receive and act on feedbackExceptional organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex processes, and meet both short-term and long-term deadlinesAbility to work independently and deal with ambiguity; willingness to proactively seek guidance when appropriate#LI-MS1Goodwin Procter LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
