Below is a detailed job description:Job Overview:Provide legal representation to clients in litigation matters.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.Assist with case management and strategy development.Duties:Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings.Prepare and argue motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and discovery motions.Conduct depositions and other discovery activities.Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation.Attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation-related matters.Assist with client intake and case evaluation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar.Experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation.Proven track record of success in handling complex litigation matters.Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent written and oral communication abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar.Skills:Litigation experience.Legal research and writing.Case management.Negotiation skills.Communication skills.Trial advocacy.Client counseling.Attention to detail.Time management.
