Qualifications: 18 years or older High school education or equivalent Detail-Oriented/Organizational Skills Experience with insurance verifications Experience billing Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurance companies Knowledge of payer codes (mostly Mental Health and some Medical) Personable and friendly to clients Excellent Customer/Client service skills About Us: Tueller Counseling Services is a growing provider of mental health services in Southeastern Idaho. We have recently opened our brand-new office in Idaho Falls and are excited to add to our team. At Tueller Counseling, competent professionals work together in providing guidance, support, and skills training to clients to ensure recovery and resiliency. These services enable individuals and families to build and sustain productive, meaningful, and happy lives. Job Description: As a billing specialist at Tueller Counseling Services, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our clinical team as well as a diverse population of clients. You will have the opportunity to work with clients as they come into the office, provide support to our clinical team, as well as improve upon your individual professional skills. Our team-oriented approach ensures that you will have access to ongoing support and professional development, enabling you to thrive in your role and deliver the best care possible to clients. This position is 100% in office and the hours are 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch break. Key Responsibilities: Be personable and friendly with clients and co-workers. Answer phones, deliver messages and address any client or counselor concerns that may arise. Scan any required documentation received into the EHR accurately. Verify insurance information daily for clients. Call clients to collect payments and verify correct insurance and billing information. Assist with other billing responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to; sending invoices monthly, assisting with collections, maintaining billing files and records, etc. Attend required meetings. Check voicemail and address any messages throughout the day. Read and respond to emails daily. All other duties as assigned. Salary Range: At Tueller Counseling Services, we value our employee's contributions and understand the importance of a competitive compensation package. Billing Specialists can start between $17-$20/hr depending on experience.
