Design Engineer for Innovative Lighting Manufacturer $65k - $80k (Commensurate with experience) Saylite, a visionary leader in the world of lighting, is seeking a Design Engineer to create functional protoypes and products from ideas, customer requests, and product development concepts. Quick Summary of this important role (full job description is attached): Key objectives: Work collaboratively with engineering team, manufacturing and sales to design commercial and industrial lighting solutions that will turn ideas from concept to prototype to production. Recommend design ideas to improve manufacturing efficiencies and cost effectiveness for current products. Assist the factory departments (assembly and fabrication) with troubleshooting manufacturing-related issues and improvements, as they relate to product designs. Create & maintain supporting documentation Summary of Qualifications: B.S. Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent) or comprehensive work experience Must be proficient with SolidWorks. Proven Design Skills Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environment, preferred Lean Tools knowledge (Green Belt Certification, preferred) Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish) Good communication & interpersonal skills More about Saylite: Saylite is a full-service provider of LED and non-LED configured lighting products and solutions serving commercial, industrial, and premium residential markets.
