POSITION TITLE: DENTAL HYGIENIST FSLA: EXEMPT **We pay CME/CEU hours and licenses ** REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited Hygiene program Valid Florida Dental Hygiene License Able to work in harmony with other dental staff Self-Motivated BLS certification Valid driver's license, ability to drive day and night and ability go get to and from work without a set schedule are required. Ability to lift 40 lbs. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Participation in a community based/school linked sealant program Assist in developing programs to increase access to preventive dental services in low-income populations Provide dental health education lesson plans at schools, community centers, etc. Placement of dental sealants Dental prophylaxis and polishing. Oral hygiene instructions Topical fluoride application Cleaning and sterilization of dental hygiene instruments Cleaning and maintenance of dental hygiene equipment and treatment areas Ability to go/come from work without a set schedule is required.
