Ridgeview Garden Assisted Living of St, George UT, is looking for a fun, hard working, motivated individual to be our new Culinary Director. Responsibilities: Prepare/cook/serve meals to residents and staff on a daily basis Manage the kitchen and kitchen staff Maintain a five week rotating menu that changes with the seasons Utilize different foods that meet the daily nutritional requirements per AL Type 2 regulations Order food and supplies while sticking within the designated budget for the building Requirements: Must be able to successfully work with dietitian and state officials Have an understanding of dementia and how it affects their well being Know how to successfully prepare and serve food for individuals with dementia or physical disabilities Have knowledge of how commonly used medications can affect residents with the foods they eat Able to manage and stick within a budget Maintain a special diet board so that staff is aware of allergies, special diets, and diabetes Communicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and home office personnel Would be responsible for hiring, disciplinary action, terminating and monitoring staff performance, and most importantly, keeping staff motivated and feeling like part of the team Would be required to participate in daily/monthly meetings about building/staff/special events ServSafe Certification, background check, and TB test are required upon hire.
