Accounting Technician

Amicalola EMC has an immediate opening for Accounting Technician. This position will provide administrative support for the Manager of Accounting and the Accounting Department. DUTIES Assists with the preparation of invoices, reports, and ledgers. Assists with processing accounts payable. Works with Plant Accountant to post information and prepare various reports. Accurately completes data entry and account reconciliation. Assists with other duties or projects as required. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree or additional education in Business Administration or related field preferred. EXPERIENCE Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative work preferred. ABILITIES AND SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to work independently and manage time. Must maintain a valid driver's license. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Prolonged periods sitting and computer work. Occasional walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying materials, equipment and office supplies Majority of work will be performed indoors. Position will be onsite, M-F.
