Responsibilities -The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of CSD - Cardiac Step-Down from CVSICU Unit. The Nurse Manager directs, supervises and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and -he/she supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department. - The Nurse Manager plans and administers the annual budget in collaboration with the Director. The Nurse Manager integrates evidence-based practice utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. Schedules staff in the most cost-effective manner using Shifthound Proactively plans for future staffing needs by using forecasting data in Shifthound . Ensures staff schedules are complete and published in Shifthound within the appropriate time frame. Ensure all staffing changes are made in Shifthound. Monitors patient classification, patient assignments and reconciliation in Shifthound . Ensures that the unit is following our systematic method for predicting the numbers and types of required resources and making equitable and safe patient assignments. Reviews Productivity in Shifthound on a daily basis.
