Description:
Roles:As the Worship Director at Chesapeake Community of Hope Church, you will play a vital role in leading our congregation into meaningful worship experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of the worship ministry, including music selection, rehearsals, and leading worship services. You will work closely with our pastor, our worship technology coordinator, and other staff members to ensure that our church family authentically connects with our Creator through vibrant worship. Responsibilities:? Selecting appropriate music for worship services that reflects the theme and message of each service.? Leading and directing worship rehearsals to ensure that musicians and vocalists are prepared and confident.? Recruiting, training, and developing worship team members, including musicians, vocalists, and technicians.? Collaborating with our pastor and other staff members to plan special events, concerts, and outreach opportunities.? Providing pastoral care and support to worship team members, helping them grow spiritually and personally.? Coordinating with the worship technology coordinator to ensure that sound, lighting, and multimedia elements are identified and incorporated.? Continually seeking ways to improve and enhance the worship experience for our congregation.? Cultivating a culture of worship within the church, encouraging participation and engagement from all members. Expectations:? A strong personal faith and a commitment to living out the values and beliefs of Chesapeake Community of Hope Church.? Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments and/or leading worship vocally.? Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers and staff members.? A heart for worship and a desire to see others encounter God through music and praise.? Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in front of others.? A willingness to invest in the lives of worship team members, providing mentorship and support as needed.? A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, staying current with trends and best practices in worship ministry.? The ability to work collaboratively with church leadership, volunteers, and congregants to achieve the overall mission and vision of the church.
