Our busy hotel is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented maintenance engineer to ensure that all of our visitors have an excellent experience at our property. You'll be in charge of the building's maintenance and preventative programs daily to ensure people's enjoyment, health, and safety. The ideal candidate for this position will be an outstanding communicator, a team player, and, above all, someone who enjoys engaging with new people. If you're ready to get started, apply today! Union Local 399 Responsibilities: • Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines• Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations• Assist other technicians and engineers with a variety of maintenance tasks in a collaborative manner• Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand• Complete all work orders and fix maintenance problems promptly Qualifications: • Driver’s license and outstanding driving record is necessary• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required• Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance• Stellar communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed• Experience with facilities management software is preferred About Company: As downtown Chicago’s first hotel to enjoy Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, our four-star hotel has mastered the art of combining luxury and sustainability.
