The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables is responsible for the development, management, conservation and protection of forest, mineral, parks and wildlife resources, and the administration of the province's Crown land. Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province. As a vital part of the Forestry and Wildlife branch, the Resource Management Division is the primary strategic lead for cross-departmental work to ensure the sustainable conservations, management and use of the province’s renewable resources, Crown Lands and forests. Ensures that planning, decision making and management action involving the provinces renewable resources are based on the best scientific and traditional knowledge available and ensures that all uses are sustainable. About Our Opportunities This posting is for two Manager positions reporting to the divisional Director: Manager, Private Land Programs and Scaling and Manager, Crown Resource Management. These Managers will be expected to work collaboratively and understand the work of each the other’s portfolio. Both Managers will be accountable for the effective planning and delivery of various policies, programs, and initiatives. These positions will be responsible to ensure the program(s)/service(s) are delivered provincially within budget and are compliant with the legislative, program and monitoring.
