Summary Western Dairyland Head Start is hiring a full-Time, full-Year Early Head Start Teacher to work at our newly opening Early Head Start Center in Independence, WI. This position will be scheduled Monday-Friday.The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily educational and social activities of young children enrolled in an Early Head Start Classroom. The work also requires direct contact with the parents to involve them in planning and cooperating with the Head Start program. The Early Head Start Teacher will also be responsible for assisting the Center Manager in planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the Early Head Start Program. Duties This position will implement positive guidance and effective teaching practices, incorporate Head Start School Readiness outcomes into teaching practice, lesson planning and classroom set up. Conduct ongoing assessment to evaluate each children?s development level, integrate that data in individual and group planning to ensure inclusion and all children and intentional teaching. Requirements An ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate degree in early childhood education, Child Development Associate Certificate, and have been trained in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Must have a valid driver?s license and be willing to complete a criminal background check. Nice To Haves Find out more about us at https://www.wdheadstart.org/work-with-us Benefits Salary range for associate degree: $19.16-23.95Salary range for a bachelor?s degree: $19.78-24.72*Western Dairyland EOC, Inc has implemented a 4-day work week for most employees, these positions are exempt from that and will instead be offered an additional incentive payment of $7,800 per year for working five days per week. We offer a complete benefits package including: Vacation, personal leave, holidays, sick leave 3 weeks of vacation annually 25 hours of personal time off annually 10 paid holidays annually Sick leave accrued at 3.3230 hours per pay period approximately 7 hours sick leave per month for full time employees maximum accrued sick leave of 432 hours Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability agency paid 401(k) plan with up to a 6% match Employees can contribute immediately. After 1 year of employment, the agency will contribute between 3 and 6 percent, dependent on the employee's contribution.
