Practice Area: Personal Injury Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 2-3 years of experience to handle tort/personal injury defense and complex liability matters. The ideal candidate should have experience in all aspects of litigation, including case workup, research, analysis, discovery, motions, percipient witness and expert depositions, and representing clients in mediations. Excellent research and writing skills are required. Duties:Handle all aspects of civil litigation cases, including case workup, research, analysis, discovery, and motionsTake percipient witness and expert depositionsRepresent clients in mediationsConduct legal research to support case strategiesDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documentsCommunicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status and discuss strategyPrepare for and participate in court hearings and trialsNegotiate settlements on behalf of clientsCollaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive legal servicesStay informed about changes in the law and legal precedents relevant to civil litigation Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State Bar of Nevada and in good standing2-3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably handling tort/personal injury defense and complex liability mattersExperience taking percipient witness and expert depositionsStrong research and writing skillsExcellent oral advocacy and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and manage a caseload efficientlyAttention to detail and organizational skills Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Nevada Skills:Civil litigation experienceLegal research and writingCase managementDeposition skillsNegotiationCommunicationAnalytical thinking Benefits:Health Insurance401kBonus Pay
