Engineering Lead - Hybrid Portsmouth – Outside IR35 – Up-to £550 per day We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Lead to join our team on a 12-month initial term contract. This role, based in Portsmouth, offers a hybrid working arrangement with roughly 2 days per week onsite, 3 from home. As the Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the technical skillsets within the development teams and the broader program context. Your primary objective will be to align technical capabilities with project requirements. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive the execution of the ongoing technology strategy and foster coherence in development practices. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of an engineering management plan that documents program delivery and ensures the guidance and quality assurance of team output. To be eligible for consideration you must be an active holder of SC or DV Clearance and have full right to work in the UK. Responsibilities: Implement standards and procedures within projects/programmes, ensuring their successful execution. Identify capacity issues within the team and formulate actionable plans to address them effectively. Analyse existing processes, driving improvements for enhanced efficiency and service delivery. Demonstrate a deep understanding of industry standards and practices, imparting this knowledge to team members. Collaborate with the development team to review specifications, design, code, and test products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes and developments.
