The Cygnet Occupational Therapy Department recognise not all Occupational Therapists qualifying at present may have had the direct experience due to the national placement crisis. We offer a graded approach to caseload management, have robust supervision support and have our own preceptorship process for all newly qualified OTs to consolidate core skills. This is an exciting time to join Cygnet Hospital Bierley as we have two brand new wards. This position is for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on the Female Low Secure Ward (Bronte). Bronte ward supports 15 service users. The ethos of our service will be about backssing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community. Promoting the importance of enabling people to do the things they want, need or are expected to do to support them being well in life.
