Closing Date: September 22 ,2023 Collaborating with the Director, Engineering (PDG), the Lead Engineer will be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities to build value in the engineering scope of the assigned study project or package. The successful candidate must posses the expertise and competencies in the a rea of electrical engineering and will be responsible for leading the delivery of the assigned electrical engineering scope of work across multiple studies, projects, or packages. Other specific technical tasks may be assigned by Project Managers, Engineering Managers, and/or Project Directors, as required. Additionally, the individual in this role must demonstrate outstanding personal leadership, problem solving skills, and possess a relationship and result focus mentality. Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Apply electrical engineering expertise to support the development of the Scope of Work (SOW) for various projects within the department Lead the development of a review process for technical documents as may be required and coordinate review and return to the consultant in a timely manner Serve as a liaison between the engineering contractor and the project team in the area of accountability and may have accountability to supervise and lead the scope, cost, schedule and quality of engineering contractor deliverables Coordinate with PDG’s Engineering Manager to ensure the requirements of the following fields are understood and adequately addressed in engineering design; Health, Safety and Occupational Hygiene, Process Safety including Safety in Design and Sustainable Design, Risk Management, Technology and Digital Systems, Social, Environmental, Regulatory and Permitting, Value Improvement Practices Ensure the engineering compliance to the Design.
