Holt Executive are currently partnered with a global leader in Space and Satellite sustainability, a dynamic and rapidly growing technology innovator who are making hugely.Holt Executive are currently partnered with a global leader in Space and Satellite sustainability, a dynamic and rapidly growing technology innovator who are making hugely positive contributions to the growing problem of orbital space debris. They require a Spectrum Engineer to be responsible for analysing and coordinating spectrum activities in support of mission licensing, and to develop and support the implementation of new and exciting spectrum policies, at both national and international levels, to ensure the success of future missions. The company offer hybrid working and flexible hours, and you will join a team of highly talented engineers working on cutting edge technology, in their office and cleanroom facility in Oxford. Responsibilities for the Spectrum Engineer: - Satellite frequency filings and frequency coordination; - Technical studies including via computer simulation of radio frequency interference, frequency compatibility, link budgets and interference analysis; - Negotiating frequency coordination agreements; - Frequency licensing of ground stations; - Engage with external Spectrum bodies and stakeholders, including Ofcom, DCMS and other UK Government bodies, as well as the ITU and other relevant international groups; - Support spectrum policy, including policy scoping and implementation to enable future projects. Experience required by the Spectrum Engineer: - University BSc / MSc or similar degree in an engineering, scientific or mathematical discipline, or equivalent science based/engineering experience; - Prior experience in spectrum management or engineering for space systems, including satellite communications systems and/or satellite systems engineering; - Knowledge of ITU Radio Regulations and ITU space software; - Good understanding of the space industry.
