Reporting to the Superintendent of Mine Life Extension (MLE) Operational Readiness (OR), the Lead, Civil/Mechanical Engineering is responsible for executing an OR Plan for the MLE project to prepare the site for project turnover with best-practices in operational readiness including document handover, generation of standard operating & equipment maintenance procedures and commissioning/hand-over activities. A significant responsibility of the role will be to ensure that the project design meets the specifications and requirements of the site. As such, there is a requirement to work closely with both the site operations & maintenance teams as well as the project teams including the EPCM. Additional responsibilities include the project management of a number of water pumping infrastructure projects. To be successful, we require someone with a strong engineering background, with significant maintenance and operations experience and a proven track record in collaborating between departments to achieve the best outcome. Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhering to and sponsoring safety, sustainability, and environmental requirements, procedures and best practices Execute an OR Plan for the project to prepare the site for best-practice in documents control, change management, and commissioning/hand-over activities. Foster and align collaboration between the MLE Project Team, consultants, and the current HVC operations teams. Manage and coordinate all aspects of preparing the current HVC operation to transition efficiently and safely from the feasibility study phase through to and including.
