Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to load and unload heavy equipment with regards to tractor-trailer rig Knowledge of appropriate load securement Maintains and checks truck's equipment and supplies to assure roadworthiness Checks vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order (pre-trip/post-trip inspection) Verifies the types of materials being hauled as well as their weight Knowledge of oversize loads as well as the ability to secure appropriate permits Perform all aspects of the Transportation contract between CRMM and any customer, including third party work Move equipment for crews from locations, distance depending on job site and tasks Keep accurate DOT log book and all necessary paperwork Ability to read maps and understand navigation devices Ensure all DOT requirements are met for the vehicle being driven in order to pass a level one DOT inspection Move trucks and equipment from locations and return when job is completed Observe and comply with government, CRMM, and our customers' safety and security standards Capable of working without constant supervision Maintain truck's condition, appearance, and housekeeping Communicate with your supervisor and scheduler on a daily basis or as needed Comply with reporting and paperwork details in a timely manner by turning it in no later than 9am the next day Must be able to work varied hours including evenings as necessary and to be on the road up to 1-2 nights per week Qualifications: Valid CDL class A driver's license and a clean driving record Minimum of 1 year experience in moving heavy construction equipment using lowboy tractor trailer Valid Medical Certificate High School diploma or GED Minimum 4-5 years of experience in similar field Knowledge of Class 1-8 Trucks, Trailers, Aerial equipment, and Construction equipment One year experience in customer and delivery service Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Job Posted by ApplicantPro
