JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven Junior Area Manager with a high level of leadership skills to help lead our sales teams. In this role, you will oversee your staff, provide training, create sales goals, and maximize profitability in your assigned area. You will work closely with the Operations Managers and Senior Area Manager to achieve these goals. Our ideal candidate has a strong history of successful sales management, possesses innate leadership qualities, excels in maintaining professional employee and customer relationships, and has a passion for sharing our services and products' benefits. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the Operations Manager (OM) and Senior Area Manager in the overall efforts and goals of the company Proficiently manage your home store and support assigned locations within your area independently Onboard and train store/associate/assistant managers Analyze and provide monthly sales outcomes and growth opportunity strategies to the OM Weekly phone call with the OM Ensure all sales processes and marketing strategies are being upheld to company standards. Be available to fill in for vacant management roles within your area when needed, while overseeing management team at the home base Work with OM to quickly diagnose issues within a store and develop a strategy and action plan Guide, train, and manage lower-level management and sales teams to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals Actively fill management team positions and produce high performing management prospects for advancement within the company Conduct monthly evaluations with area store managers to review numbers, monitor performance quality, professionalism, and career progression Properly report all employee issues/conflicts in a timely and professionally manner to OM to ensure compliance with state and federal laws Attend 2 or more store monthly meetings and provide feedback Adjust and investigate inventory discrepancies and report to OM Responsible for timecard adjustments and store manager hours approval Complete monthly operational audits Follow through on maintenance issues Support a positive and respectful learning environment Conduct exit interviews to gain insight and improve employee retention Support company marketing efforts with approved language and visual displays/social media Review schedules in area bi-monthly to ensure efficiency and provide feedback Ensure staff in area is following current marketing promotions and strategies Conduct and contribute to regular training segments at monthly manager meetings Complete Area Manager Course (AMC) company training within 3 months GENERAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Moderate math, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances Professional appearance and behavior Strong knowledge of company policy, goals, and standards Customer service oriented Ability to work with and resolve complex customer issues High level leadership skills Excellent interpersonal skills conflict resolution Corporate communication skills Capacity to work under pressure, delegate tasks Manage large projects and see it through Establish productive working relationships with all levels within the organization Complete understanding of inventory control and ordering Demonstrate a high level of integrity Be able to separate facts, assumptions, and emotions Able to self-manage and keep professional relationships Able to think clearly, rationally, and logically when making decisions Be a source of energy, empathy, and support while upholding company standards Onboarding and training abilities REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma/ GED required Typically, a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or similar field; or 4 more years of related industry or retail experience 2 years management experience: or at least 1 year of Beaches management experience 6 months+ of managing multiple retail site locations preferred History of revenue increases preferred Flexible schedule, available to work 40 hours per week and able to travel READING REQUIREMENTS: The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni (complete within 90 days from position start date) Crucial conversations (complete within 180 days from position start date) People Code (complete within 210 days from position start date) BENEFITS: Medical (75% covered by employer), Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Free UV and Sunless Tanning Access to employee tanning lotion 30% off all product PTO and Paid Holidays Flexible Schedule ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM?
