Position Overview Under the supervision of the Manager of Plant Operations, Facilities Management modifies heating systems by installing new radiators, steam traps, reducing valves and control valves to increase the heating efficiency of the systems. Experience Minimum five (5) years’ experience in all phases of installation, maintenance, modification, inspection and replacement of a variety of facets of building mechanical and plumbing/heating services and equipment (i. e. heating/cooling systems, pumps, RO Water System) and associated components. Demonstrated satisfactory experience as determined by current employment and management. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education, Manitoba standards required. Certification/Licensure/Registration Province of Manitoba or Interprovincial qualifications as a Journeyman Plumber or Fitter/Steamfitter required. Province of Manitoba or Interprovincial qualifications as both a Journeyman Plumber and Fitter/Steamfitter, preferred. Qualifications and Skills Thorough and comprehensive understanding of plumbing codes and their application in a variety of facilities, building and equipment, as well as experience in the installation of plumbing, heating, and medical gas systems required.
