We are looking for a professional, highly motivated, goal oriented, skilled, and hardworking individual to fill the Clinical Manger position and become a valued member of the Veterans Inc. team! At Independence Hall we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment for both veterans and non-veterans 18 years and older. The qualified candidate must be a team player, a creative problem solver, and have a passion for helping others. Veterans are encouraged to apply but veteran status is not a requirement. The Clinical Manager of the Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) program is responsible for providing clinical supervision to CSS program staff, which includes the Counselors, Recovery Specialists, and Case Managers. This position is responsible for reviewing and participating in treatment planning and follow-up with client care services. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and team building skills, management experience, substantial clinical experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, a dependable work ethic, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. This individual would be based out of the 59 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 location. This is a full-time position with full benefits (health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, short/long term disability and life insurance, etc.) Must be able to pass a CORI and background investigation . Must be able to start within two weeks of receiving a verbal offer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works in collaboration with the Program Manager and Medical Director and provides clinical supervision and leadership of designated staff. Responsible for oversight and assisting CSS program staff with treatment planning, client assessments, and staff development of evidence-based practices and psychosocial approaches. Works with the Program Manager with developing a strategic plan to implement a comprehensive substance use treatment program at Independence Hall. Assists with developing the policies and procedures that will support the program and reflect the agency's philosophy and objectives. Works in collaboration with the Program Manager and Business Department to ensure all program standards are met to maintain licensure by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, compliance with BSAS Standards of Care, and CARF Behavioral Health accreditation, as well as the standards set by the VA. Works in Collaboration with Human Resources to coordinate training for staff as needed to support program needs, and provides education regarding psychotherapeutic techniques and evidence based treatment practices. Assists Program Manager with identifying mental health and substance use assessment tools and how they should be administered. Responsible for supervision of medical observation documentation and psychiatric services while clients are in the program. Assists with developing and launching a patient engagement initiative, including outreach to de-stigmatize the utilization of counseling services, and works to enhance the "Culture of Care" and understands how to treat clients with dignity and respect, and de-escalate upset clients. Increases education, screening, care coordination, risk reduction interventions, and counseling for patients with or at risk of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other diseases associated with opioid use disorders. Provides required documentation and timely reports (including narratives and data reports) as needed. Along with the Program Manager, assists with facilitating staff meetings, and assists with staff recruitment efforts. Responsible for maintaining minimum clinical staffing 24/7 in order to assure client safety and adherence to state licensing requirements, including all critical staff on all shifts. Also, maintains a strict policy and practice of non-abandonment of client care, and acts as the final line of coverage in the event of unavailability of replacement staff. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing situations, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Ability to resolve problems within scope of responsibilities. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with veterans, staff, management, vendors, and other referral sources as needed. Ability to work independently and take initiative when appropriate. Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite. Ability to input and analyze data and generate reports. Strong patient communication and patient education skills. Ability to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and timely. Ability to use tact and diplomacy to successfully motivate and educate others. Ability to read and interpret general business correspondence, policies and procedures, referral information, financial documentation and applicable government regulations. Ability to write business letters, reports, instructions and procedures. Minimum Education and Experience Required: Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or related field required. Must meet the definition of Licensed Clinician (LICSW, LMHC, LADC 1, etc.) Documented experience in clinical supervisory role. Minimum of two (2) years substance use disorder counseling experience Strong interpersonal, organizational and writing skills. Documented experience working with clients with trauma histories. Documented experience working within an inpatient treatment center or human service setting. Must be able to pass a CORI background records check. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Experience using electronic medical records desirable.
