Our continuum of care provides for exposure to clients at all stages of treatment, and a variety of medical and psychiatric complexities that will challenge you daily. Your connection with our clients will make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Essential Functions: Assist Provider with their medical visits at patient's home; that may include: taking patient histories, measure vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart. Perform MA procedures under the supervision of a Provider Assist Provider in collecting data, observations and take any notes Give instructions to patients as instructed by Provider Ask for any recent medical records (ie post-hospital discharge paperwork) Ensure all related reports, labs and information are filed and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment Keep medical bags stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls Managing a high volume of patient visits Patient Education Assisting in in front office and back office medical processes Skilled in venipuncture and fingersticks Ability to work independently All other duties as assigned by the Administrator. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail Effective communication skills Self-motivated Position Type: Full-time Education and Experience: Experienced in House Call practices Experienced Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years experience Experience in Family Practice Experience in Chronic Care Management EMR (electronic medical record) experience required American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification, or ability to obtain AAMA certification within 90 days of start date Additional Qualifications: Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
