Construction Laborer-I Kauai

Description:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Efficiently assist project superintendents, project coordinators and project managers in performing & maintaining high-quality work. To be successful in this position, you will work well as part of a team, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks. Operate a forklift to load and unload construction materials to and from flatbed trucks. Organize construction materials in the yard. Responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Pick-up & delivery, unloading & loading materials, tending machines, performing demolition and other various tasks Dig ditches, trenches, back-fill excavations, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes Assemble or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures Assists in the placement of asphalt paving, patching, preparation of road surfaces, and slurry seal application Load, unload, transport, and stage concrete materials, equipment, and tools Assist with pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed This includes handheld and power tool Follow directions well and perform tasks accurately with attention to detail Communicates well verbally to convey information effectively Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace. PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds Reading: Good reading skills. Licenses: N/A Experience : 1 year warehouse experience preferred. Forklift certified preferred.
