Electronics Packaging Engineer

CFD Research's electronics development team is looking to add talented packaging specialists. These engineers will work with a team developing secure, trusted technology for use in DoD systems. The new group is still standing up its capability but are rapidly becoming a trusted source for development and production of electronics for use on systems requiring protected technology.In this role, candidates will support a variety of efforts with a focus on defining mechanical outline and construction details, connector selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, oversee electrical layout and be responsible for final technical data package. They typical products developed will be prototypes or low-rate production efforts. Qualifications Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant STEM discipline) Six (6) years of experience in the design and test of electronics packaging for military and aerospace applications Must possess a thorough knowledge of GD&T, ANSI drawing standards and first order analysis techniques Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret Clearance.
