Position Overview The Pan Am Clinic is currently seeking an Orthopaedic Technologist/ Athletic Therapist for the Minor Injury Clinic. This position will be under the supervision of the Manager of Ambulatory Care. Experience Clinical experience with a variety of patient populations. Advance taping, bandaging and splinting experience. Familiarity and experience with a variety of “soft goods” applications, adjustments and maintenance. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (requires a four year BSc degree in Kinesiology and applied health majoring in Athletic Therapy). Certification/Licensure/Registration CATA, CSOT Member in good standing with both the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association, and Manitoba Athletic Therapists Association. Registered member of the Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technologists-Certified or enrolled in the program and completed within two years of working a full time EFT. Current CPR Certificate. Qualifications and Skills Proficiency in evaluation, rehabilitation and education of orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries. Excellent patient rapport. Acute Care proficiency. Ability to assist in the supervision and education of medical therapy, nursing and other students. Team concept skills in a multidisciplinary medical environment.
