Test & Acceptance Engineer Knowledge, skills and experience Experience 5 years + in performing test activities Specialism within an engineering discipline would be an advantage, i. e.Test & Acceptance Engineer Knowledge, skills and experience Experience 5 years + in performing test activities Specialism within an engineering discipline would be an advantage, i. e. electrical, mechanical, acoustic etc. Background in engineering, marine, aerospace, rail or nuclear discipline would be an advantage. Knowledge and understanding of Engineering lifecycles and processes is desirable Experience in environmental testing would be an advantage but is not essential Understanding of electrical and/or mechanical testing is desirable Preferably have an understanding of military systems in particular maritime systems Must be capable of writing technical reports and have experience of writing independently and extracting information from technical experts Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology IET or Institution of Mechanical Engineers IMech E or working to achieve membership is desirable Experience with Standards particularly Military biased Def. Stan, Mil-Spec etc. is preferable Experience with DOORS or DOORS NG would be an advantage Key accountabilities may include Responsibilities vary greatly according to the size and type of project, but typically they will include: Lead test phases and events for given projects Create and develop test plans, procedures and schedules for verification of design testing Prepare and agree test activities working to budgets and timescales for given projects Undertake testing and implement test solutions including qualification work Support integration and Set To Work of the project Provide testing expertise where appropriate Analysis and evaluation of test evidence and interpretation of test data Writing of reports and test documentation Purpose of job To lead/perform test activities and produce test documentation on.
