Primary Objective: Our main goal is to provide exceptional care to children and young people through a comprehensive therapeutic approach. As a valued team member, you'll support the Homes Manager in ensuring smooth operations, implementing protocols, maintaining records, and fostering the growth of junior staff. Upholding our core values, you'll play a crucial role in promoting well-being and positive outcomes for every young person in our care. Key Responsibilities: Actively ensure the welfare of children and young people in our care. Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, reporting any concerns promptly. Assist in implementing care and placement plans. Contribute to placement planning, participate in reviews, and write reports. Continuously backss individual and collective needs of children. Encourage children's active involvement in their environment and daily activities. Engage with and manage challenging behaviour using various strategies. Help children identify unsafe situations and individuals. Provide a supportive environment respecting cultural and religious identities. Cultivate an open culture where children feel heard. Accurately record and communicate information. Ensure effective shift handovers. Provide supervision to the team and contribute to professional development. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, professionals, children, and families. Work in line with the home's 'Statement of Purpose' and organizational policies. Uphold administrative requirements and standards of hygiene. Promote anti-discriminatory practices. Comply with Health and Safety requirements and report any unsafe practices. Additional Expectations: Participate in a rota system, including sleeping in and working evenings/weekends.
