They are looking to expand their CAD department and seeking a talented CAD Designer to support in creating drawings and documents for our projects. CAD Engineer Up to £45k Fareham hybrid work available My client are a leading manufacturer in the development of world-class monitoring systems. They are looking to expand their CAD department and seeking a talented CAD Designer to support in creating drawings and documents for our projects. Responsibilities: Product design: Create mechanical drawings for products, including cases, connectors, mechanical mountings, and marking. Production support: Develop designs, drawings, bills of materials BOMs, and documentation packs for product assembly. System integration: Design cabinet layouts, bracketry, and cable management. R&D support: Create custom one-off designs for test equipment and bespoke products. Customer documentation: Generate drawings and documents tailored to customer requirements. Product documentation: Prepare datasheets, installation manuals, test plans, and other project-related documents. Hands-on support: Assist with prototyping, production builds, and potential site visits. Ensure adherence to ISO9001 quality management system and health & safety standards. Requirements: Ideally HND/Degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline. Experience in a related field or similar position. Experience desinging enclosures, cables, connectors, systems, etc. Experience with Solidworks Rail experience is desirable but not essential If you possess excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills, along with a keen interest in electrical design and product/system installations, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our innovative projects.
